Playing Christmas CDs or listening to Christmas music on the radio will help you celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Reading about the birth of Jesus in the Bible reminds us of the real reason for the season. Christmas novels allow us to enjoy the holidays through the experiences of others.
Now you have an excuse to watch lots of Hallmark Christmas movies. Other channels often air Christmas concerts. If you feel like it, ride through neighborhoods and enjoy other people’s decorations.
Most churches present free Christmas concerts or performances. If you have enough energy, attend several of these.
Give gift cards or order merchandise on-line. If the recipient lives away and you won’t see them during the holidays, have the item shipped directly to them. If you will see them, stick a bow on top of the delivery box and write Merry Christmas on it. Choose one or two of your favorite decorations to display. If you can afford it, hire a teenager to decorate and wrap gifts.
There are numerous places to buy delicious baked items.
I would love to hear how you’ve enjoyed the Holidays when you didn’t feel like celebrating in the traditional way. Please share your thoughts in the comment section below.
