You blew it. You tried and weren’t successful. You feel like your dreams have gone up in smoke.
How do you proceed? Here are some choices: quit, pretend everything is okay, or grit your teeth and keep going.
Following are some tactics which might help you get back on track:

Ask God if this is the dream He wants you to pursue.
We often feel we have to do it all. In most cases, we need the help and encouragement of others.
Talk to an expert in your field, who may suggest a different approach.
Remember how excited you were when you started your project. Dig deep and find some of that initial enthusiasm. According to Bulwer-Lytton “Nothing is so contagious as enthusiasm.” Emerson says “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
Pray over each decision you need to make in order to reach your goal. “The Lord will guide you always.” (Isaiah 58:11) “I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Most of want immediate results, but God’s delay could be preparing our minds and hearts to totally depend on Him. Then when we are successful, He will receive the Glory and Honor.
I would love to hear steps you’ve taken to overcome a setback in the pursuit of your dreams. Please leave your comments in the section below.
