Sometimes we focus on the celebration we’ll have when we achieve our dreams.
But there are also reasons to celebrate along the journey.

Those rejection letters hurt. But instead of allowing them to discourage you, let them be a catalyst for change. Determine to improve your areas of weakness. Some rejection letters offer hope. One of the letters I received said I have writing talent and the agent requested my next manuscript.
It’s often scary to submit your work for critique either from a professional writer or in a critique group. Feedback helps us see our work from someone else’s viewpoint. Suggestions often help us see how our writing can be strengthened. Of course, you’re the author so it’s your decision whether to incorporate these suggestions.
Whether you win the contest, are a finalist or semi-finalist, you can celebrate the achievement of this milestone.
A highlight of a writer’s life is signing a contract with an agent. This is a big step to celebrate.
The publication of your novel or magazine means you have achieved one of your major writing goals. The thrill of holding that book or magazine is exhilarating.
Most writers want to continue their success. When a publishing company signs you for a three or four book series, there is major rejoicing.
